The mission of Vermont Family Network (VFN) is to empower and support all Vermont children, youth, and families, especially those with disabilities, or special health needs. We do this by giving a strong start, lifting family voices, and advancing inclusive communities. Our vision is that all Vermont children and youth reach their full potential. The values which guide our work are: family-centered, respect, collaboration, making a difference, and accessibility. We serve the entire state, and we are also the federally recognized Parent Training and Information Center, which is a requirement of federal special education laws. We are also designated by the federal government as the Family-to-Family Health and Information Center for Vermont as well as the VT Chapter of both Family Voices and Parent to Parent USA. VFN is a nonprofit organization. We are free and available to all of your families and we’d like to get the word out. We serve all families, and are particularly hopeful you will be able to help us access families who are hard to reach, culturally & linguistically diverse, LGBTQ+, and in our most rural areas.
